I am sorry there is so much spreadsheet push in your financial planning class. The world has moved on to better tools, but not all instructors have. You will have time to catch up.
As someone who has had an online business for so long, I'm surprised at how dated some of this class feels. The textbook & language as well (ex: nowhere in planning for expenses for a family does it mention childcare).
